Peer Informed Supervision Training

About the course

This CPD certified course offers Imroc's best practice for those in supervisory roles to Peer Support Workers. To create this thought-provoking and informative course, we gathered the most progressive thinking around providing peer informed supervision.

This training prepares learners to provide effective, trauma-responsive and equity-focused supervision to peer support workers. Whether learners are a peer or non-peer, this starts with understanding the peer support worker role and underpinning values. We will use Imroc's Supervision Triangle as a model for effective peer informed supervision and explore the different supervision structures we can adopt to support peer support workers to succeed in their role.

Learners will delve into allyship, which is grounded in the values of peer support work and promotes and advocates for lived experience in services. We will identify the unique challenges peer support workers face and reflect on how learners can be an effective peer ally. Learners will also be encouraged to reflect on their peer informed supervision practice; their strengths and areas for development.
