A practical look at how meaningful relationships, local strengths and shared action can create stronger communities.

A practical session exploring how CEaD  translates into meaningful action within communities. This webinar focuses on the day-to-day reality of relationship building, community development and co-production. Participants will gain insight into the skills, behaviours, roles and activities that sit at the heart of successful community engagement and development.

Drawing on examples from Birmingham, Leicester and other community settings, we will demonstrate how CEaD facilitates work in communities alongside residents, community leaders, voluntary organisations and local services to identify strengths, understand priorities and create opportunities for collective action.

In Webinar 2 we will cover:

  • Building trust and credibility within communities

  • Asset-based approaches and identifying community strength

  • Community listening and meaningful conversations

  • Working with community leaders, grassroots groups and trusted networks

  • Supporting people to influence local decision-making

  • Co-production in practice and creating opportunities for shared leadership

  • Developing community-led solutions to local challenges

  • The role of place-based community engagement and development

  • Measuring progress beyond traditional consultation methods

  • Practical examples and case studies from diverse communities

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of what CEaD looks like in practice and the practical steps needed to develop stronger relationships with communities.
